GENERAL PROCEDURES OF DOCUMENT SCANNING A document scanning project involves the following major steps:
RETRIEVAL OF ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS 1. Basic method: Scanned documents are stored in folders and sub-folders with given names, the folders are arranged alphabetically, you would locate the files like you normally do with other documents on your computer. 2. Advanced methods: Documents are organized into categories using field indexing, Enorez will work closely with you to determine the number of fields to be indexed, while OCR (Optical Character Recognition) processing enables full-text search of almost all scanned documents. OCR works best when the original documents were printed from a laser printer and scanned at 300 dpi or better on black and white. Colored documents or photocopies or copy of a copy would increase the search error rate. Hand written documents would require manual data entry for search ability.
